This is the first single to be published by Bart Drees Tunes. It is a 1972 reel-to-reel recording of William “Bill” Archer and his brother, Stu (who asked to be called “Yogi” when I met him, but his real first name was Donald). We came up with the tune and lyrics one summer afternoon in the apartment we lived in at 320 Stuart Street, Morgantown, WV. Stu was visiting his brother and brought his guitar. The guitars (Bart & Stu) accompany Bill’s vocals until late in the song when Bart sings along, finally joined in by Stu singing the high notes until the end. Bass was added later.
