This album evolved from Sony reel-to-reel tape recordings from my apartment on Stewart Street in Morgantown, WV where I attended West Virginia University. The 3 inch tapes were first converted to a cassette tape before being digitized. Afterwards, tracks could be manipulated using the Boss Digital Recorder. Unfortunately, in the early 1970’s we used a tuning fork (sometimes) or relative tuning. During the conversions the tape speed also changed, so when bass tracks were later added, tuning of the bass was by ear to the recordings. People with perfect pitch may be offended to listen to these recordings, but they are vintage analog home recordings and that’s part of their history.
